The deadline to enter a competition to find up-and-coming youth fiction writers is approaching.
Entries for The Paul Cave Prize for Teenage Fiction 2024 close on Tuesday, July 30.
The winner will receive £100, a book featuring their work, and feedback from judges Tim Saunders and his daughter Harriet, 13.
Submissions can be short stories of up to 5,000 words on subjects such as murder mystery, science fiction, sport or things that affect teenagers, like technology for example.
Budding authors of all ages can enter the competition.
