A care manager has praised the "exceptional job delivered day in and out" by her team after nominating them in the Worcestershire Health & Social Care Awards.
Fiona Rutherford, who owns and operates Blossom Home Care Worcester, nominated her 14-strong care team for The Domiciliary Care Worker or Team Award - praising their dedication to providing the best possible care to their clients.
She said: "Our carers assist clients with a variety of needs, and whether it's extras tasks such as walking the dog - nothing is ever too much trouble."
With 14 years of experience in the sector herself, Fiona has operated the company from their offices at Top Barn Business Centre since opening in March 2023 and overseen the growing impact her team has had on residents the local community.
The care home owner added: "We often provide last minute and emergency care, and our whole team pulls together to ensure the best possible outcome for our clients."
Blossom Home Care Worcester's domiciliary care provision is designed to empower clients and promote independent living on a daily basis.
On her team's commitment, she said: "My carers go out of their way to bring clients to local events or take them out to the wider community.
"This ensures they're able to socialise and make new friends."
The Worcestershire Health and Social Care Awards 2024 are organised by Newsquest, publishers of the Worcester News, Malvern Gazette, Evesham Journal, Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Redditch Advertisers and The Shuttle.

There are 12 categories in total, including NHS Team of the Year, Palliative Care Award, NHS Hero, Care Home Worker or Team of the Year, Health Care Employer Award, Good Nurse Award, Child & Adolescent Health Care Award, Dementia Carer Award, Mental Health Award, GP Practice of the Year, Domiciliary Care Worker Award and Oral Health Care Professional of the Year.
The awards will culminate in a black tie dinner at the Bank House Hotel in Bransford on Thursday, September 19 where the winners will be announced.
