TWO people are fighting for life in hospital after a crash which closed the M5 for several hours.
The M5 was closed in both directions after a crash involving a lorry and a car on junction 7 (Worcester) northbound.
West Mercia Police have confirmed two people were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following the incident.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "We were called to a two-vehicle collision involving a lorry and a car between the slip roads on junction 7 northbound on the M5 at around 5.50pm yesterday evening (June 14).
"Two people were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries."
Police, fire crews and ambulance crews were on the scene during the incident.
The road closure had caused 90-minute delays for road users.
The M5 reopened at 4am this morning.
