Britain's leading boiler manufacturer has been working to develop young people's confidence by hosting an education event.

Worcester Bosch recently organised the West Midlands FIRST Lego League Explore Festival at its headquarters in Worcester.

42 pupils from four academies; Nunnery Wood Primary School, Perry Wood Primary School, St Peter's Academy Droitwich, and Upton Snodsbury First School took part in the educational event.

The main focus was STEM learning subjects, and helping children to develop a better understanding of science, technology, engineering, and maths.

This endeavour is part of the company's ongoing pledge to narrow the engineering skills gap and inspire children to engage in the subjects.

'Masterpiece' served as the theme of the event, exploring the connection of technology and arts.

On the day, the children learned how to code robots and designed posters inspired by the theme.

This was the second time that the company hosted the festival, following its first in 2023 that coincided with its parent company Bosch's 125-year anniversary in the UK.

During the course of the festival, reviewers from the Worcester Bosch STEM visited every team to discuss their projects, and reward them with prizes.

Opportunities the company is offering to the next generation include the Cecil Duckworth Apprenticeship scheme.
