The hospital is one of the largest employers in the area, employing 172 people, many of whom live in Droitwich Spa or in the wider Worcestershire area.

One staff member who began their career as a brine pool attendant in 1989 now works as a materials lead in the stores department, with an impressive 35-year tenure at the hospital.

The awards ceremony was aptly held at Churchfields Farm in Salwarpe.

Executive director at the hospital, Claire Davenport, said: "We hold events for Long Service Awards twice a year and each time I feel so proud of our employees.

"We feel it is important to recognize their loyalty and reward them for their commitment to our hospital.

"Each and every department has a vital role to play, and I thank all of our staff for the years of service they have given to the company."
