A FIRE which started in a trailer was brought under control by firefighters before it could engulf a nearby hedgerow.
A crew from Upton attended the fire in Hangmans Lane, Hanley Swan at 6.20pm last night, putting out the blaze before it could spread any further.
A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service describe the incident as 'a small vehicle on fire in Hangmans Lane, Hanley Swan'.
He added: "A trailer with rubbish, including 15 metres of hedgerow, was on fire and this was extinguished using a hosereel jet. There were no casualties and no other emergency services attended. The incident was marked as pending closure at 6.23pm."
