A STREET off one of the city's busiest roads has been the site of filming for Father Brown's new episode in Worcester. 

It has been all cameras, lights and action in the Faithful City this week after movie stars took over Worcester to film a new episode of Father Brown.

The popular daytime crime drama Father Brown is about a crime-solving Roman Catholic priest and stars Mark Williams.

Other stars include Strictly winner Tom Chambers as Chief Inspector Sullivan, Claudie Blakley as Mrs Devine, Ruby-May Martinwood as Brenda and John Burton as Sergeant Goodfellow.

Crew members with cameras, lighting and microphones are also dotted around the set.

Fans of the show waited patiently at the end of Oswald Road in the city for a peek at their favourite stars.

“I absolutely love the show and Mark is wonderful as Father Brown.”

The show mainly films in Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire as it is set in the fictional Cotswold village Kembleford,  but it has been known to film in The Faithful City.

Several vans and trucks with 'Movie Makers' on the side, can be seen inside the racecourse track.

Movie Makers provides facility vehicles for film productions when they are on location.
