A DRIVER has been caught by a camera speeding on the M5 near Worcester, leaving him facing a large bill of close to £400.
Daniel Tibbetts was behind the wheel of a Volkswagen when he was caught breaking the 60mph temporary speed limit on the M5 near junction 8 (Strensham Services), heading southbound.
The 47-year-old of East Street, Kidderminster, was fined when he appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on Thursday, May 30.
The case against him was proved via the single justice procedure on the day of the hearing at the court in the city's Castle Street. The offence happened on November 5 last year.
Tibbetts was fined £220, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £88 and costs of £90.
A collection order was made, giving the court additional powers to recover the money.
Tibbetts also had his driving licence endorsed with three penalty points.
