The city art gallery and the Commandery are in a “healthy” financial position, a council committee has heard.
The Joint Museums Committee, which is made up of members of both Worcester City Council and Worcestershire County Council, met on Wednesday, June 12.
Head of finance Mark Baldwin told the committee there had been a £27,205 surplus from the last financial year, which had been transferred to the Joint Museums Committee general reserve.
The Commandery Escape Room also returned a surplus of £7,918, which has also been transferred to the general reserve fund, which now sits at £226,593.
Mr Baldwin said: “£226,000 is a healthy fallback for the service if it ever falls into troubled times, which hopefully it won’t.”
