A POPULAR BBC series has started filming in Worcester as superfans of the show gathered to catch a glimpse at its celebrity lead actor.
Film crews were in St Oswald's Road which has been closed to vehicles while Father Brown, a BBC crime drama starring Mark Williams, films its twelfth season.
To fit in with the drama post-war period two 1950s cars could be seen parked outside the entrance to St Oswald's Almshouses, a former hospital chapel.

The entrance to the chapel has a sign with Thorpe's Almshouses written on it. Cast and crew could be seen inside and around the courtyard of the chapel.
The filming takes place after a convoy of vehicles was spotted at Worcester Racecourse on Monday morning.
