Midlands Air Ambulance Charity has launched a public vote to decide the winner of a prestigious award.

For the first time the charity is seeking the public's help in choosing the recipient of its Corporate Partnership Award, which is part of its Recognition Awards and Charity Ball on Friday, September 27.

The charity's annual event, which is sponsored by EBC Group, is a salute to the lifesaving aircrew, volunteers, fundraisers, supporters, and corporate partners who make the charity's daily missions possible.

The charity's employees have nominated nine corporate partners, and are now turning to the public to help choose the final nominee.

Emma Wood, head of fundraising and engagement for the charity, said: "We are incredibly lucky to be supported by some amazing corporate partners across the six counties we cover.

"Without our corporate partners and supporters, we would simply not be able to operate our lifesaving pre-hospital emergency service.

"We have decided to adopt a public voting format for this particular category to highlight the generous corporate support we receive, but also because picking one winner out of the nine amazing nominees is proving a difficult task."

The nominees from Herefordshire and Worcestershire include ABE Ledbury, ISO Quality, and Kelly Plant Hire.

ABE first started supporting the charity in 2017, and has reiterated its commitment to the charity by incorporating its branding in its trailer livery.

Worcestershire's ISO has been involved in various sponsorship opportunities since 2015, donating £22,325 to the charity over nine years, after a family member was airlifted by a neighbouring air ambulance service.

Kelly Plant Hire has supported the charity since 2018 and has donated in kind services valued at £73,000.

Similarly to ABE, it has also incorporated the charity into its vehicle livery, and has also provided free sweepers for its outdoor events, airbase and headquarters.

The other six nominees for the award are Aico, Cheltenham Racecourse, Hardy Signs, Lord Combustion Services, Pallet-Track and Wall James Chappell.

Voting for the award began on Monday (June 10) at 10am and will close on Friday, June 28 at 4pm.
