A TEENAGE girl has been rescued from a bridge over a major road in Worcester after she threatened to jump.
A ladder platform was used to get to the girl who was on a bridge over the M5 at junction 6, near the A4440 Trotshill Way in Worcester, 'threatening to jump' shortly before 9pm last night.
Two Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews attended the scene – one each from Worcester and Droitwich Fire Stations.
A spokesperson for the Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "The aerial ladder platform from Worcester were called at 8.48pm on 6 June to assist police at the A4440 Trotshill Way, Worcester.
"A teenage girl was threatening to jump off a bridge and was handed over to the care of the police who attended along with the ambulance service. The incident was marked as pending closure at 12.25am."
