THE most common type of crime in Kempsey over the past year has been revealed.
Kempsey Parish Council revealed its annual crime figures which only includes incidents that have affected the community.
Between May 13, 2023, and May 13, 2024, the most common crime in the area was assault without injury which saw 13 incidents take place.
The second highest was then public order offences and burglary to homes and businesses where there were five reported each.
Amongst the other crimes were theft, drugs, attempted burglary, criminal damage and robbery, which had below five incidents.
