A DRIVER who had snorted cocaine before getting behind the wheel has been banned from driving after he was stopped in Worcester.
Marc Driscoll was caught drug driving in a Peugeot in Droitwich Road, Worcester and was fined and disqualified from driving at a hearing at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on May 28.
Driscoll, 46, of Mill Street, Evesham, admitted driving with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit on November 22 last year.
The cocaine reading in his blood was 59 microgrammes per litre of blood, more than five times the limit of 10 microgrammes.
He also admitted having cocaine metabolite Benzoylecgonine (BZE) in his his blood.
The reading was 800mg (the limit is 50mg).
He was banned from driving for 12 months and fined £120. His guilty plea was taken into account.
Driscoll was further ordered to pay £85 and a surcharge of £48.
He was given until June 25 to pay.
