This gargantuan sale is believed to be one of the largest in history, only surpassed by one in Tennessee in the US.

Over 119 streets in Droitwich, Worcester and Malvern will host garage sales.

In comparison to the last event, there is a 160 per cent increase in participation, with more than 45 streets that took part in the inaugural sale last year.

Matt Nicol, managing director of the estate agents, said: "We are genuinely staggered at the number of streets that have signed up to take part in this community event across Worcestershire.

“Those who took part last year enjoyed a wonderful day, both as households holding their garage sales and as bargain hunters excited by this access to such a rich variety of items that they wanted to buy."

He added: "After the success and feedback last year, we were hoping for an even bigger and better event for 2024 but never imagined that we would double the numbers involved, let alone reach an increase of 164% in streets registered."

Mr Nicol added: "The main purpose of organising this event is to bring the community together, to support people in getting rid of items in a sustainable way, and to make some money in the process.

“This huge number of streets signing up for the event will offer bargain hunters such a great opportunity to find items they want to buy.”

To aid visitors, the estate agents has created a digital map detailing the locations of participating streets.

Its also inviting community charities to collect any unsold items at the end of the garage sales.

Additionally, the estate agents is also organising a car boot sale at Droitwich Rugby Club on Saturday, June 15 to give traders a second change to sell their items.
