AN elderly person managed to get stuck in the mud in woodland near Worcester.
The person was found stuck in the mud in woodland in Crowle, with a fire crew being called at 4.47pm on Sunday afternoon (June 2).
The surface was considered unstable by the fire and rescue team.
Rescue staff were joined by the boat crew from Worcester, water first responders from Droitwich, the incident command unit and drone from Wyre Forest and the Service’s urban search and rescue dog.
A search was carried out to locate the person who was rescued from the mud by the fire service.
The uninjured person was then left in the care of the police and the incident was marked as pending closure shortly before 7pm.
