Our readers have named the best places in Worcester to visit, with The Cathedral coming out on top.

When asked to 'name somewhere in Worcester everyone should visit at least once', Jason Spencer said: "The cathedral. You've got 'Bad King John', and Henry the Eighth's brother in there, yet you'd never know with the lack of tourist advertising."

Others, such as Susan Poyner, praised the cathedral for being "beautiful and has been here since 11th-century makes it one of the oldest one in the country."

Jacquie Swinbourne said: "Worcester Cathedral, then walk along river to Diglis and stop for a coffee at GoodRoots."

Beyond the Cathedral, many readers had various places that they had a fondness for.

Emma Wright recommended Retroids Arcade Bar, stating it offers "so much fun and nostalgia!"

Stacey Hill offered several locations, listing "The King Charles house, Friar Street, The Commandery, The Cathedral and Fort Royal" as must-visits.

"When you realise the history that took place right here in the city, it really brings it to life.
