May was National Walking Month and Worcester County Council issued stories throughout to promote its benefits.

Emma Stokes, Worcestershire County Council cabinet member with responsibility for the environment said: "I absolutely support walking and I do a lot of it myself.

"The health and wellbeing benefits are amazing.

"I walk my dog daily and it's good for purpose, stride and fulfilment.

"We live in a beautiful area, sometimes it's raining, sometimes it's lovely, you just enjoy what's in front of you."
