A NEW dental practice is to open in the the centre of the city but is not as yet taking NHS patients.
Reindeer Court Dental in 19 Reindeer Court in Worcester city centre is due to open on Saturday, June 22.
At the moment it is a private practice as a spokesperson said 'no NHS contact was available'.
"We are hoping to take NHS patients when and if an NHS contract becomes available," a spokesperson said.
The practice is offering free examination for under 13s if one of their parents becomes a member of the practice. Approval has to be given by the Care Quality Commission before registration can begin.
A spokespersons said: "Everyone who comes on the opening day on June 22 between 9am and 4pm is entitled to book a free examination if they donate something on the date to Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven (there will be volunteers from the trust on the day).
"If someone wants to become a member to the practice there will be further discount if you signed on the day.
"Children under 13 years old receive free exams if at least one of the the parents registers as a member. This is a private practice - no available NHS contracts for new practices at this particular time. We don’t know the future."
Donations will also be taken on the day for Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven.
The practice will be served by two dentists, offering dental check-ups and hygiene, appointments for patients of all ages, teeth straightening with aligners, cosmetic dentistry (veneers, composite bonding etc), dentures, crowns, bridges, white fillings, endodontic treatments and facial aesthetics.
