A CHILD suffered injuries and a woman has been arrested for drink driving after a car flipped onto its roof during a crash which closed a road.
A 30-year-old woman was arrested for drink driving and a child was taken to hospital following the crash at Stony Cross on the B4220 near Cradley, west of Malvern, at around 7.45pm last night.
Emergency services including West Mercia Police, the West Midlands Ambulance Service and Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service attended the incident which involved a car on its roof.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "At around 7.45pm last night, officers were called to a collision involving a vehicle on the B4220 near Cradley, Herefordshire. A 30-year-old woman was arrested for driving under the influence."
A spokesperson for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 7.14pm (Thursday) to reports of a car which had overturned. One ambulance attended and assessed two patients.
"The driver, a woman, sustained minor injuries and was discharged on scene. A passenger, a child, was found with injuries not thought to be life threatening and was conveyed to Hereford County Hospital for further precautionary checks."

Two casualties were in the crash at Stony Cross, near Cradley and the road had to be closed in both directions following the incident last night.
A spokesperson for the Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said a crew from Malvern Fire Station was called at 7.24pm 'to make a vehicle safe after an RTC at Stony Cross, Cradley, Malvern'.
He added: "The vehicle was on its roof in the roadway but no persons were trapped. Two casualties were handed over to the care of the ambulance service who attended along with police. The B4220 was closed in both directions. The incident was marked as pending closure at 8.14pm."
