A DRIVER has been fined a large amount for not handing in the necessary paperwork, leaving him more than £1,000 out of pocket.
Khayal Amer Hussain-Bourkeof The Holloway, Droitwich, failed to send off important paperwork telling police who was at the wheel when a driver was suspected of committing a motoring offence in a Volkswagen Golf.
The case was considered at Worcester Magistrates Court on Thursday, May 23. The 23-year-old failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver / rider of a vehicle suspected of an offence when required on November 28 last year.
The charge was proved against the defendant via the single justice procedure.
He was fined £660, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £264 and costs of £90 - a total £1,014.
A collection order was also made, giving the court extra power to recover the money.
His driving record was also endorsed with six penalty points.
