A SUP0ERMARKET is set to open a temporary pop-up store while it undergoes a refurbishment.
The Co-op at 46 Ombersley Road will temporarily close from tomorrow (May 31) while it undergoes a major refurbishment.
However, customers will still be able to buy their usual household items from a pop-up store in the shop's car park.
There will be 250 items from the basic essentials including bread, newspapers and milk.
The pop-up shop will be open seven days a week until the main store reopens on Thursday, July 11.
A licensing application was submitted by Co-op to allow the pop-up store to sell alcohol when it opens.
On a previous licensing application, a spokesperson for Co-op said: "A temporary store will be sited in the car park during the refurbishment of the main store.
"The licensable activity is the sale of alcohol for consumption off the premises Monday to Saturday between 7am and 10pm and Sunday between 11am and 5pm."
It is one of two Co-op shops on Ombersley Road and is known by residents as 'the big Co-op'.
