A DRINK driver has been banned for three years after he was caught over the limit near a county town.
Kieran Forbes was caught driving with excess alcohol in Abbey View Road in Pinvin, near Pershore.
The case was heard at Worcester Magistrates Court on Thursday, May 23 after Forbes, 35, of Leach Heath Lane, Rednal, was stopped behind the wheel of a Skoda on April 27.
The reading was 45 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, over the prescribed limit of 35cmg.
A 36-month driving disqualification was imposed by magistrates which will be reduced by 36 weeks if Forbes successfully completes a course by July 12, 2026.
He was further fined £450 with his guilty plea taken into account during sentencing.
Forbes was also ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £180. He was given until June 20 to make all relevant payments.
