PROGRESS is expected to be made 'within weeks' on bids to bring Worcester's iconic Pump House back into use.
Leisure property specialists Fleurets is the firm tasked by Pump House landlords Worcester City Council to find someone to move into the 19th-century building, which has been mothballed since Christmas.
Fleurets started marketing the Pump House on May 7 and has already hosted two 'very well-attended' viewing sessions for the building in Gheluvelt Park.
A spokesperson for the firm told the Worcester News it had received some 'really positive initial feedback' with proposals on how to bring the Pump House back into use already starting to come in.
The spokesperson added that, while Fleurets didn't want to rush people and hadn't introduced a deadline at this stage, it hoped there would be some progress in the next few weeks.
The Pump House has been listed on RightMove for firms to lease and will set someone back £1,458 per month.
Fleurets is looking for café proposals for the Pump House, although the two-storey building's RightMove description said the space could also suit hosting events and small functions.

The Pump House has been closed to the public since the end of September.
Previous tenants Duckworth Worcestershire Trust chose not to extend the lease ahead of renewal and instead vacated it at the end of last year amid 'rising costs'.
The iconic building was built in 1857 and is a disused waterworks building in Barbourne, close to the River Severn.
It was a crucial part of Worcester's waterworks until it closed in 1995, but in 2004 it opened as an environment centre.
The Trust operated the Pump House as a centre to provide guests with information on green issues as well as running a popular café and shop.
Fleurets described the Pump House as a 'historical' character building of local significance.
It is also adjacent to Worcester's new Kepax Bridge.
Those who lease the Pump House will also have access to a part-paved and part-grassed area to the front overlooking the park.
