A POPULAR outdoor event near Malvern that has "something for everyone" is preparing to welcome crowds this weekend.
The Madresfield Court Village Fete takes place on Saturday, June 1 - for the 10th year running.
Taking place at Madresfield Court, the fete has an array of activities and entertainment for all the family to enjoy.
There had been concerns from organisers that the event was under threat from cancellation due to the site's car park being affected by bad weather, but they confirmed that it will be going ahead as planned.
Looking ahead to this year's fete, event organiser Helen Owen said: "It started out as a small school fete but then we got permission to use the court as a venue for the event.
"It's grown over the years. We started out with a few stalls, whereas this year we will have over 50.
"These will range from leatherwear and boutique stalls, paintings and artists.
"Plenty of food stalls. We'll have a catering van selling burgers, sweets, cream teas and many more."
The fete, which has become a Madresfield tradition, was sorely missed in recent years due to the impact of the covid pandemic.
Last year was the event's first running in four years and attracted a record crowd.
"I think we had 3,000 people visit last year," said Miss Owen.
"I'm hoping the grounds will be nice and dry before we welcome people through the gates, it's always wonderful to see so many turn out.
"It's a beautiful location that's only open a few times a year for people to visit."
New for this year will see the addition of a sheep dog display run by stockman Andy Smith.
There will also be garden tours, a birds of prey display, a rock choir and the "epic" dog show that visitors "can't wait to get involved in".
Local craft and artisan stalls will be selling locally sourced beer, which Miss Owen says is "really good", as well as meat from the butchery.
All proceeds from the event go towards Madresfield Primary School and St Mary’s Church.
Miss Owen said: "It's an amazing family day out.
"It's all immersive. There's something for everyone."
The village fete will run from 12-5pm with last entry at 4pm.
Tickets are priced at £5 admission, while under 12's go for free.
