A BONFIRE of fridges and washing machines was discovered in Worcestershire village.
Firefighters from Pershore had extinguished a bonfire in Pinvin which contained a number of fridges and washing machines.
Crews had to drag away and remove the contents of the bonfire, spreading it out in the surrounding area with the remaining items left to burn.
A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A crew from Pershore Fire Station was called to a fire in the open in Pinvin at 10.17pm on May 25.
"A bonfire, around 3m by 3m, was discovered consisting of fridges and washing machines.
"The crew dragged away and removed the contents of the bonfire and spread it out in the surrounding area with the remaining items left to burn.
"Police were informed."
