PEOPLE have been given the chance to meet a "real" unicorn at a popular Worcestershire attraction.

Little Owl Farm Park is unleashing the magic in Dunhampton after its ponies were transformed into unicorns.

Dazzles the unicorn and her two friends, Rainbow and Shimmer, will be greeting guests at the park this May half term as part of a Dinosaur vs. Unicorn week.

The two Shetland ponies have had their hooves painted and manes dyed to prepare them for the part.

Victoria Banner, the Farm Manager, said: “We’ve had a fabulous first few days with our Dinosaur vs Unicorn week, which is the first time we have run the event.

"So many children love dinosaurs, and it is really wonderful to see children getting so excited when they get to meet a T-Rex who measures over two metres in height, as well as the very cute baby dinos.

"Just to make things a little more exciting, we decided the dinosaurs weren’t enough, so we’ve also welcomed Dazzles, our unicorn, with two of our Shetland ponies having a makeover and turning into Unicorns.

"Shimmer and Rainbow loved the extra fuss and attention during the makeover process, and they enjoyed the interaction with our visitors.”

Throughout the week, visitors can get up close and personal with Annie, the farm's T-Rex, as well as the two baby dinos, Trixie the Triceratops and Rex the T-Rex.

The event will finish on June 2.

The farm has also welcomed a new addition to its family after a baby alpaca called Cleo was born on the farm.

Farm Park Director Mandy Howell said: “We have named her Cleo, after Cleopatra, the last Queen of Egypt.

"This was due to her beautiful and distinctive dark, eye markings.”
