AN ADORABLE baby alpaca has been born at a popular attraction just a stone's throw from Worcester.
Little Owl Farm Park in Dunhampton is thrilled to welcome its newest addition, Cleo, a cria otherwise known as a baby alpaca.
Cleo, who is now just over two weeks old, got her unique name from the last Queen of Egypt because of distinctive dark eye markings.
Farm Park Director Mandy Howell said: “We have named her Cleo after Cleopatra, the last Queen of Egypt.
"This was due to her beautiful and distinctive dark eye markings.”
Her mum, Matilda, was also born at the park three years ago and has been helping Cleo settle into farm park life.
A Little Owl Farm Park spokesperson said: "We are thrilled to announce they have welcomed a new cria (baby alpaca) during the early hours of Sunday, May 12.
"First-time Mum Matilda, who was also born at the farm park three years ago, has been a fantastic mother to Cleo, needing no assistance from the animal care team.
"Cleo has settled in beautifully to farm park life.
"They can both be found in the farm parks, with other alpacas Storm and Brie in the Top Fields."
The park closes between January and February because of the cold weather, but it is open Thursday through Sunday and every day during school holidays.
Last year marked the farm's tenth anniversary, and with this, it opened a number of new attractions.
One of the attractions was designed for mini adrenaline junkies after it installed a sledge run.
A new Duo Zipline also opened earlier in the year 2023.
Those visiting the park can also enjoy seeing over 90 different breeds of birds and animals, indoor play areas, outdoor play areas, and animal barns.
