THERE is a heavy police presence in Worcester this afternoon as a witness described a man being arrested.
A man was arrested in Pump Street in Worcester city centre earlier this afternoon as police vehicles and officers arrived on scene.
A witness said: "Police arrested a man. I think he was arrested from a doorway as they took blankets and a sleeping bag. There was a van and a police car and about five officers.
She said the appeared to be 'kicking off' and there was banging on the side of the van from within.
The incident happened at around 1.30pm today.
Two police vehicles later headed along the High Street towards The Foregate and Foregate Street, one on blue lights.
