A DRIVER is due to have his case heard in court after it was alleged he was caught speeding on the M5 near Worcester.

Carl Henshaw, 58, has denied speeding on the M5 northbound after it was said he exceeded the variable speed limit near junction 6 (Worcester).

Henshaw of Minster Gardens, Newthorpe, Nottingham is alleged to have been caught by an automatic camera device between junction 6 (Worcester) and junction 5 (Droitwich) on November 1 last year.

The case was last heard at Worcester Magistrates Court on May 16 when a not guilty plea was entered. 

The speed was said to be in excess of 60mph.  A summons has been issued for Henshaw to appear at Redditch Magistrates Court for a trial on July 29.
