A FIRE crew has extinguished a fire in the open on a Worcester estate.
Firefighters from Worcester Fire Station were called to Turners Close in Worcester after a tree stump was on fire.
The incident took place yesterday evening (Thursday) as the fire was quickly extinguished using a hosereel jet.
No casualties were recorded at the scene and the incident was closed within 30 minutes.
"A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew from Worcester Fire Station was called at 21:08 on 16 May to a fire in the open in Turners Close, Worcester.
"A tree stump was on fire and this was extinguished using a hosereel jet.
"There were no casualties and no other emergency services were required.
"The incident was marked as pending closure at 21:39."
