A Worcester resident has been given permission to cut down a row of conifers before they obstruct their neighbour’s view of the Malvern Hills.
According to a planning application, the trees were planted in the garden of a home in Rainbow Hill Terrace by a previous resident.
But there are worries that the row of 12 conifers will cause root damage and spoil the views if they are left to grow.
Supporting the application, a neighbour wrote: “Currently they cannot be seen apart from by ourselves and the applicant.
“Removing them will create more space and light in my neighbour's garden and does not detract from the wider 'greenscape' given they are currently virtually unseen.”
Worcester City Council planners agreed and have this week granted planning permission.
