POLICE are investigating an incident on a city road.

A resident on Norwich Road in Ronkswood, Worcester revealed there had been suspicious activity in the area yesterday evening (Saturday).

This led to police knocking on doors of residents on the road both Saturday evening and this morning (Sunday) to request any ring doorbell footage that may be useful in their investigation.

Gwen Hughes, who lives on Norwich Road, was unaware of the alleged incident but confirmed that police had knocked on her door for information.

"Police have been knocking on doors along the road, there are about three to four police officers," she said.

"They have been asking if we heard anything at around 10.30pm last night.

"I was watching TV at the time it happened. A neighbour said that there was someone going through people's gardens with torches.

"It's frightening to think I was just watching TV and that was going on outside."

No further details have been released on the incident.

A Worcester News reporter visited the area and spoke to residents.

One resident, who didn't want to be named, said there a "lot of noise" coming from the Punch Bowl pub on the corner of Norwich Road.
