Five million youngsters across the UK have imaginary friends.
Research from pub chain Hungry Horse, conducted to coincide with the release of new kids' movie, IF, found that three in 10 children, and surprisingly one in 10 adults, confessed to having an imaginary companion.
Senior marketing manager for the chain, Sarah Williams, said: "At Hungry Horse, the whole family is invited - including all those imaginary friends among us.
"So, please come along, pull up a chair for your make-believe buddy, and enjoy."
