This summer, Birmingham will host an immersive show celebrating the life and art of Vincent van Gogh.

Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience will be held at Birmingham NEC from August 1 to September 1.

This will be the largest Van Gogh show to be staged in the city at 40,000sq ft and only the second city to showcase the exhibition in the UK during a limited run of shows.

Tickets will be available for pre-sale on May 8 at 9am, with general sales starting at 9am on May 10.

Annerin Productions and Paquin Entertainment Group, who produced the show, have combined more than 300 of the post-Impressionist icon’s paintings with cutting-edge technology and a specially curated musical backdrop to narrate the tale of one of the most influential artists in history.

Visitors will embark on an exploration from dark to light in Van Gogh's world, which will be magnified by his dreams, thoughts, and words set to a moving symphonic score.

They will connect with the artist through personal letters he wrote to his brother and principal supporter, Theo, in the Exhibition Introduction Hall.

The landscapes, flowers, and cafes of Van Gogh's famed artworks will come alive in The Immersive Room.

Ticket prices during the off-peak period, Monday to Thursday, is £26 for those aged 13 and above, £21.00 for those aged 65 and above, NHS, and students, £16.00 for children aged four to 12, and children three and under go for free.
