A PEDESTRIAN has died following a lorry crash on a main road near Evesham.
The 28-year-old's next of kin has been informed after they died on the A46 near to Beckford Road this morning (Tuesday).
The A46 remains closed in both directions between the A435 Teddington and A4184 Evesham.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "We received a call around 6am this morning (7 May) with a report of a road traffic collision on the A46 near to Beckford Road.
"Officers attended the incident to find a lorry and pedestrian involved in the collision.
"Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the 28-year-old pedestrian was sadly announced deceased at the scene.
"Next of kin have been informed."

West Mercia Police are carrying out investigation work which is currently ongoing.
National Highways said there is no estimated reopening time currently for the A46.
Diversions are currently in place.

Southbound:
Road users are advised to follow the hollow black circle diversion symbol on road signs.
At the junction with the A44 (Broadway Road) join the A44 southbound towards Broadway.
The the roundabout junction with the B4632 near Childswickham join the B4632 southbound.
Follow the B4632 towards Winchcombe.
At the junction with the B4077 turn right towards the M5 and follow the B4077 westbound.
Continue along the B4077 westbound to re-join the A46 at Teddington Hands Roundabout.
Northbound:
Road users are advised to follow the hollow black square diversion symbol on road signs.
Follow the opposite of the southbound route via the B4077 eastbound, B4632 northbound and A44 northbound.
