A WOMAN has died after she reportedly fell from a viaduct, the ambulance service has confirmed.
Emergency services, including the Midlands Air Ambulance, rushed to Mill Lane in Hoobrook, Kidderminster, near the railway line on Thursday afternoon (May 2).
West Mercia Police said they responded to reports that a person had fallen from the viaduct.
On Friday morning (May 3), West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed a woman had died at the scene.
A spokesperson said: "We were called to an incident near Kidderminster Railway Station at 3.52pm and sent an ambulance, two a paramedic officers and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford were sent to the scene.
"On arrival, crews found a woman and sadly it quickly became clear she could not be saved and was confirmed dead at the scene.
Train services between Kidderminster and Worcester were disrupted whilst emergency services dealt with the incident.
On Thursday afternoon, West Mercia Police said: "Emergency services are currently at the scene of an ongoing incident on Mill Lane in Kidderminster.
"Officers are responding to reports that a person has fallen from the viaduct.
"Surrounding roads are expected to be affected, and people are advised to seek alternative routes whilst we remain at the scene".
