Midlands health leaders are urging parents to make sure their children are up to date with their vaccinations.
As part of World Immunisation Week, health experts are requesting parents to verify that their children are up to date with childhood immunisations and to schedule any that have been missed.
These can include critical routine vaccinations against life-threatening illnesses like measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), and whooping cough.
Since January the NHS and UKHSA have been making a concerted effort to prompt parents of six to 11-year-olds to book missed MMR vaccinations.
There have been over 360,000 MMR vaccinations delivered between January and March 2024.
Director of vaccinations and screening, Julia Grace, said: "It is really important to protect your children as soon as possible and take them for their vaccinations when invited.
"If you or your family have fallen behind on any, then we encourage you to come forward as soon as possible, please don’t delay it."
