A 30-year-old man has been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm on a 72-year-old man following an alleged attack.
The suspect, Bobby Smith, 30, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm to a 72-year-old male, which occurred in Stalls Farm Road in Droitwich on Wednesday night.
The victim sustained fractures to his spine, pelvis and shoulder.
Smith is of no fixed abode but has connections to Worcester, Evesham and Bromsgrove.
He has been remanded in police custody and will be put before Worcestershire Magistrates Court today.
The injured man is in the care of medical professionals and is in a stable condition.
