Lyppard Grange Primary School collaborated with the RSPCA in the Great British Spring Clean, collecting more than 14 bags of litter.
The whole school effort saw 300 children in years two to six spending an hour litter picking in teams, and 120 children in EYFS and year one picking up litter in the school grounds.
Mrs Tilley, eco leader at the school, said: “On Monday, March 18 the RSPCA delivered an assembly on how litter can be dangerous to wildlife and on Tuesday, March 19, Laura, from the animal charity spent the day helping pupils to pick up litter.
“The children enjoyed being outside, giving something back to local community and helping to protect wildlife from the dangers of litter but were saddened by the amount of rubbish that needed picking up."
