THERE are several flood warnings in place in Worcestershire as the county's rivers break their banks once again.
Environment Agency alerts telling people to be prepared are on the river Avon and river Severn at Worcestershire.
There has been a deluge of rain for the past few days causing river levels to rise at the Diglis river gauge where the possibility of flooding remains.
The Environment Agency (EA) said: "We expect flooding to affect low lying land and roads adjacent to the river from Highley to Tewkesbury.
"Locations affected are Stourport, Holt Fleet, Worcester, Kempsey, Severn Stoke and Upton upon Severn. Install Property level protection if required."
Worcester was due to peak this morning at 3.6m to 3.7m, Diglis between 3.3m and 3.4m, and at Kempsey Yacht Club at 5.4m to 5.5m this morning (Wednesday).
The EA added: "Further rainfall is forecast and we expect river levels to remain high over the next few days.
"We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses."
There is a separate alert for Kempsey Village where flooding is expected to affect low lying land and Squires walk in the area of the Hatfield Brook Kempsey.
Flood alerts are also in place along the river Avon in Worcestershire.
The EA said: "River levels are high but steady at the Bredon river gauge following heavy rainfall.
"Consequently, the possibility of flooding affecting low lying land and roads adjacent to the River Avon from Abbotts Salford to Tewkesbury remains.
"Other locations that may be affected include Offenham, Evesham, Twyning and the Eckington Road."
Bredon peaked at 2.28m on Saturday, April 6.
Further showers are forecast and the EA expects river levels to remain high this week.
It said: "We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded."
