A tennis club in Ombersley wants to build a Padel court.

Padel tennis is played on a smaller court than a regular tennis court, with glass or wired mesh rebound walls.

The Lawn Tennis Association says it is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country.

Ombersley and Doverdale Tennis Club, in School Bank, has three tennis courts but wants to add a padel court to increase its appeal and attract new members.

The club also wants to add extra car parking spaces at the southern end of its site, which is next to Ombersley First Endowed School.
