A SECURITY guard from Worcester fell to his death while climbing Snowdon, an inquest has heard.
Christopher Griffiths, a Crowngate security guard, suffered multiple injuries after he fell from the side of a peak in Snowdon.
The 51-year-old, from Gresham Road in Worcester, had slipped, an inquest heard.
North West Wales senior coroner Kate Robertson at Caernarfon opened the inquest yesterday (Wednesday).
Tributes have been paid to Mr Griffiths.
Llanberis mountain rescue team were called to Garnedd Ugain on the evening of March 24.
Pathologist Dr Mark Atkinson said there were multiple injuries.
The inquest was adjourned for further inquiries.
Rescuers had said there had been hikers on the peak when one fell “a significant distance.”
