A NEW bar has been revealed for Worcester city centre.
The former Be The Change building in New Street has been transformed into a new bar.
The vegan restaurant had remained empty since April last year and had since been put up for auction with Bond Wolfe in November.
Now, the empty shopfront has been transformed into what appears to be a new bar called Twenty Two.
The shop front has been given a new lease of life.
It has received a fresh coat of black paint and green foliage above its sign.
Two large stickers appeared on the front of its windows, and the sign Twenty Two on the front door.
There are also smaller signs which read: "Craft Cocktails. Garden. Draft Beer. Private Hire."
Brown curtains have also been dropped to frame the shop's front windows, and seating has been installed inside.
According to Worcestershire Regulatory Services, a license application has been submitted to allow its owners to extend the business opening times, play recorded music and sell alcohol on and off the premises.
Vegan restaurant Be The Change reopened under new ownership in 2022 after closing temporarily and being listed for sale in the same year.
The reason behind the recent permanent closure is still unknown, but on Facebook, the owners said: "We have taken the difficult decision to close the doors at BTC.
"We have given it our best shot and understand it was no easy position to fill.
"As we come to terms with this decision, we thank everyone who has supported our small business over the past few months."
The business previously had two different locations in Worcester, including a restaurant on New Street and Be The Change Bake A Difference on Cornmarket.
The cafe in Cornmarket is now home to Pack It In Zero Waste Living.
Be The Change first opened its cafe in 2018, which proved to be so popular that it opened a second venue, a restaurant, on New Street in 2021.
