A MAN has been seriously injured after an assault outside a pub in Worcester.
The incident took place outside the Blackpole Inn in Worcester overnight yesterday evening (Saturday, March 30/Sunday, March 31).
A man in his 30s was seriously injured with a head wound and taken to hospital following the assault, which happened in the car park of the pub between midnight and 1am.
Two men, aged 20 and 23, have been arrested on suspicion of GBH and are helping police with their enquiries.
Police are appealing for any witnesses.
DI Mark Walters of the Major Investigation Unit said: “We would like to appeal for any witnesses to this incident to come forward and help our investigation.
“We understand there was a charity event on at the Blackpole Inn last night so anticipate there will be people who may have seen the assault and can assist.
“Anyone with information should call 101 and give the log number 27i of today (March 31).
“Alternatively, information can be shared anonymously with the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or by visiting crimestoppers-uk.org .”
