A DRIVER has suffered minor injuries after a crash involving two vehicles on a main road near Worcester.
The incident happened at around 1pm today(Thursday) on the A449 northbound carriageway just beyond Dunhampton, near Ombersley.
All emergency services attended the site of the crash that involved a pick-up truck and a lorry.
Part of the carriageway was blocked which resulted in a build up of traffic.
A spokesperson from The Leaking Well, which is situated along the A449, said both lanes were moving but one was moving slowly with a large build-up of traffic heading from Worcester to Kidderminster.
West Mercia Police said: "We received a call around 1pm this afternoon (28 March) with a report of a collision on the A449 just beyond Dunhampton.
"Officers attended the incident to find a lorry and pick-up truck involved in the collision.
"One driver has minor injuries."
West Midlands Ambulance Service said both drivers of the vehicles were assessed but were later discharged.
“We were called to a road traffic collision involving a truck and a lorry at the junction of Doverdale Lane and the A449 in Dunhampton, Stourport on Severn," they said.
"One ambulance attended the scene.
"Upon arrival, we found two patients who declined assessment from ambulance staff.
"Ambulance staff gave self care advice to them before being discharged at the scene.”
