THE first Easter egg raffle was run by parents from Friends of Powick Primary School.
The Easter bunny hopped around the village school selling raffle eggs to the children.
Ali and Paul Chester, of Three Counties Christmas in Kempsey, donated three hampers loaded with goodies which were presented to the lucky winners.
They were announced at the Easter service at St Peter’s Church, Powick, on Friday, March 22.
The Reverend Gary Crellin and school headteacher Martha Worthington joined the Easter bunny and some children outside for a picture after the service.
The raffle raised £353 with money going towards the rebuilding of the school’s cider press and summer events to be hosted by the Friends of the School.
The group is run by Alexandra Crammond (chair), Katy Askew and Ali Chester (secretaries), Vicky Gent (treasurer) and Annie Robson.
