Voters without an ID have been warned they have just one month remaining to apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate.
The appeal has been made ahead of the Local Elections, which are set for Thursday, May 2.
The Electoral Commission urges residents to apply before the 5pm deadline on Wednesday, April 24.
Jackie Killeen, director of electoral administration and guidance at the Electoral Commission said: "Anyone who doesn’t currently have the ID they need, can apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate, but they must apply before the deadline so that they can cast their vote in May."
