A canal boat in Worcester has now been freed according to the Canal and River Trust.
According to Canal and River Trust Boating on X (formally known as Twitter), "The boat has been recovered and the navigation reopened."
This was confirmed after nearly three days of blocking the canal.
Reports of a stuck canal boat first being sighted came in on Friday.
The boat was stuck in Gregory Mills top lock after allegedly getting its front baseplate stuck in the side wall.
According to Canal and River Trust Engineer on site on Tuesday morning, the boat was not sitting level in the water as it passed through the lock causing it to get caught.
The boat then took on water before the canal was drained this morning.
The canal was then refilled, whilst making sure that the boat lay level on the water, allowing for its release.
