THIS week's nostalgia story is a brilliant one from 1994 when the Worcester Police played host to the Barbados Police in a game of cricket.
The two teams can be seen in the colour picture, with the two captains at the front. For Worcester, Graham Bloomfield led the team and Leslie Reifer was the man who skippered the touring party.
Reifer also played for his country between 1977 and 1988, playing 25 first-class matches. Over that period he scored 765 runs with one half-century and one 100.
He then became part of the police team and was the skipper for the trip to Worcester back in '94.
The Worcester Police Cricket team will actually return the favour in 2024, 30 years later, when they go on tour to Barbados later this year.
Worcester Police are an amateur Cricket Club based in Worcester, playing in the Worcester Evening League and all over the world, even Sri Lanka, which can be seen in our other picture back in 2006.
